Strengthening Ocean Management and Sustainable Finance in Fiji

This grant is supporting Fiji in expanding marine protection across its national waters. A consortium of local NGOs, coordinated by the Fiji government as part of the Blue Prosperity Fiji partnership are strengthening marine conservation while working closely with coastal communities and the fishing sector. Funding also supports nature-positive enterprises such as aquaculture, waste management, and eco-tourism. A new blended-finance facility will be established, combining public, philanthropic, and private capital to sustainably fund marine protected area management and community stewardship.
