To help implement the expansion of the marine protected areas (MPAs) around Cocos Island, the Bezos Earth Fund granted $640,000 to Fundación Amigos Isla del Coco (FAICO) through Re:wild. The grant will help strengthen the Eastern Tropical Pacific Marine Corridor and the management of these new MPAs by developing management tools, investing in equipment for surveillance activities, and launching projects focused on adaptive management and restoration. The grant also supports the national park’s base infrastructure to support park rangers and technical staff.
