Kate Scarpa is the Chief Communications Officer at the Bezos Earth Fund. Prior to joining, she was a Director of Corporate Communications at Amazon where she led Sustainability and Community campaigns for the company, including its Climate Pledge commitment, plastic packaging reduction, energy strategy, fleet electrification, disaster relief and recovery, and more. She spent nearly 12 years at Amazon within the Communications organization, starting her career at the company supporting Prime Video and Prime Music, and later its Retail organization and events like Cyber Monday, Black Friday and Prime Day, before leading Sustainability and Community communications. Prior to Amazon, Kate was a Sr. Account Executive at Weber Shandwick supporting a variety of tech and consumer clients.
She brings her nearly 20 years of experience to the Bezos Earth Fund to oversee and drive communications campaigns, social and digital strategy, events, and external relations, that will collectively highlight the impact the Bezos Earth Fund is making all around the world.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bryant University.
