Lucy Kessler is Senior Program Officer for Clean Industry and Special Projects at the Bezos Earth Fund. In this role, she develops and advances large-scale initiatives to accelerate the decarbonization of global industry, with a particular focus on mobilizing finance and creating markets for emerging climate solutions.
Before joining the Earth Fund, Lucy worked at RMI’s Center for Climate-Aligned Finance, where she designed climate finance standards and initiatives to advance the flow of finance to industrial decarbonization. She led the development of pioneering agreements among major global financial institutions to align lending to the steel and aviation sectors with climate goals. She also helped design the Climate Finance Access Network, which has built a pipeline of climate projects valued at more than $2.6 billion. Lucy holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College.
