Lucy Kessler is Senior Program Officer of Sustainable Finance for the Bezos Earth Fund. In this role, she works closely with the Director of Sustainable Finance, Industry, and Diplomacy in developing large-scale initiatives to increase the flow of climate and nature positive finance globally, and improve the alignment of financing flows with Paris and SDG goals.
Lucy comes to the Earth Fund from the Center for Climate-Aligned Finance at RMI where she focused on the advancement of climate finance standards and insights across the financial sector to drive industrial decarbonization. During her time at RMI, Lucy orchestrated several groundbreaking climate lending agreements among global banks for the steel and aviation industries, and helped establish the Climate Finance Access Network, designed to increase access to climate finance across developing countries. Additionally, Lucy led a working group of nearly 10 global financial institutions in examining the credible deployment of transition finance.
