Rocío Lower is the Communications Lead for the nature portfolio (including our work in conservation, landscape restoration, and food systems transformation) at the Bezos Earth Fund. In this role, she develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies that highlight the impact of our $3 billion commitment to conserving what we have, restoring what we've lost, and growing what we need in harmony with nature.
Before joining the Earth Fund team, Rocío served as the senior manager for digital marketing and content at World Resources Institute, where she implemented a data-driven approach to the organization's digital efforts. By combining her strategic and tactical expertise in content marketing, paid media, SEO, email marketing, and organic social activities, she collaborated closely with program staff to deliver on-brand content to WRI audiences, furthering organizational priorities.
Prior to joining WRI, Rocío worked for nearly six years managing the National Park Foundation's digital communications. In this position, she set the strategy for and executed the organization's presence across social media platforms and the development of engaging content from blogs, to videos, to live social activations with influencers.
Rocío's passion for conservation is rooted in her experience growing up abroad, including the nine years she spent in Brazil. Her background as a third-culture kid nurtured a fluency in interpersonal and intercultural communications.
Rocío holds a master's degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree in international studies from The Ohio State University.
