Dr. Vanessa Ordoñez Padilla is the Project Manager for the Green Macroeconomic Modeling Initiative at the Bezos Earth Fund. As Project Manager, she coordinates teams, helps design model experiments, collects and analyzes data, and presents the results from this international initiative's intermodel comparison work. The Green Macroeconomic Modeling Initiative, or GMMI, is an international group of over 70 Economists and Climate Scientists across more than 30 teams, all working together to advance the macroeconomics community's ability to account for the risks and opportunities of our changing climate.
Dr. Ordoñez Padilla is a macroeconomist with experience in team building and management skills, and joined the Earth Fund after completing her PhD in Economics at the Ohio State University where she was president and founder of the student organization Graduate Women in Economics, an award-winning instructor, and two-time recipient of the William Green Memorial Fellowship for her work focused on improving the lives of working-class households. A macroeconomist by training, her research with heterogeneous agent DSGE models focuses on the intersection of monetary & fiscal policy with the wealth distribution.
